- Construction
- Double steel wall with refractory lining. Combustion and dilution air flow through the space between the walls.
- Temperature
- Typical hot gas range of 600–1,000 °C; configurations up to 1,200 °C, depending on design and operating conditions.
- Process control
- Mixing combustion gases with dilution air adjusts outlet temperature. Control strategies include temperature control or constant pressure.
