Features and selection

Application

Up to 113 MW, on request

Capacity depends on heat demand, fuel and furnace back pressure.

Application

Staged air and fuel

Flame configuration suited to the application. Air or steam atomization for oil.

Application

Boiler integration

Burner, windbox, fan, instrumentation and control are assessed as a system.

SF: staged combustion and fuel flexibility

Capacity
Range with models up to 113 MW, on request. Selection depends on heat demand, back pressure and furnace characteristics.
Fuels
Configurations for natural gas, LPG, biogas and process gases, as well as liquid fuels. Composition and supply conditions require assessment.
Construction and flame
Burner without refractory lining, with staged air and fuel supply. The catalogue provides for air or steam atomization for oil.
Automation
Options include cross-limited air/fuel ratio control and O₂ trim. Instrumentation, FGR and supervisory functions are defined in the scope.

SF: Low NOx through staged combustion

Staged air and fuel supply distributes combustion and controls local temperature and oxygen conditions, helping reduce NOx formation. Performance depends on fuel, furnace and operating conditions.

SF with Hot Standby option

A configuration designed to keep the boiler at operating temperature and pressure, with the burner running and steam output close to zero. Suitable for assessment where demand is intermittent or rapid load recovery is required.

The option requires burner-system and automation adaptations, including flame supervision, interlocks and controlled transition between Hot Standby and normal operation. Minimum load and response time depend on the boiler design.
